Neurosciences, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and Hospice - B5 / F5
EMU / F3N
The Neurosciences, Epilepsy Monitoring and Hospice Units are unique
in that three units operate as one. This 42-bed area treats
patients with many different conditions, such as autoimmune
disorders, headaches, strokes, seizures, peripheral, cranial and
autonomic nerve disorders, spinal surgery, EEG monitoring, 24-hour
seizure monitoring and end of life care. This unit is part of the
comprehensive stroke center and has a robust spinal surgery
program.
Nurses gain a wide range of clinical skills that can help prepare
them to work in the intensive care unit. After six to nine months
