Enablement Trainer Role:
Develop and deliver scalable technical training and enablement on the IESD (Integrated Electrical Systems Division) software products (Capital, VeSys, Solid Edge Electrical, and perhaps other. Training will span ILT, blended, and eLearning.
--- Provide deep product & domain technical training to the customer-facing internal staff of Siemens PL and Mentor. Focus on product functionality, differentiation & value propositions, and hands-on practical experience.
--- Develop a Train-the-Trainer approach to training and enabling the technical customer-facing staff within Siemens PL and Mentor
--- In collaboration with the IESD Internal Enablement Manager create, maintain & deliver appropriate internal and distributor training material.
--- Participant in teaching/managing key training events such as On-boarding Boot Camp, Technical Boot Camps, and annual worldwide training events.
--- Engage in important learning and enablement projects.
--- Be recognized within IESD and Siemens PL asa valuable contributor. Engage directly with relevant groups, examples: field pre-sales technical management, IESD portfolio teams
This position will report to the IESD Internal Enablement Manager.
This role is worldwide and will involve international travel estimated at -25%.
This position is currently shown in UK (ideally based in Altrincham or Newbury), or Portland, Oregon but this is not mandatory. Alternative locations in the USA are possible, but must be close to other IESD or Siemens PL ME staff locations. Home working is viable.
--- 5+ years' experience working with electrical application tools. Experience with products such as VeSys, Capital, ePLAN range, Zuken E.3, IGE+XAO SEE Electrical, SOLIDWORKS Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical is a strong advantage. Application engineering, technical sales, technical marketing or product support are ideal backgrounds. Experience with the Capital product is highly desirable.
--- 5+ years' experience teaching technical products to internal staff. Adept at enablement & coaching. Aware of training fundamental and adult learning
--- Excellent personal credibility and communication skills/personality, in both technical and commercial situations. Internal engagement will range from users to middle and upper management. Excellent spoken & written English is mandatory; other languages are an advantage.
--- Capable of creating high quality training, examples: training material; product demonstrations; lab exercises, job aids, reference documents. Able to make assets highly re-usable, scalable, and self-standing.
--- Experience in teaching technical ILT courses, including hands-on labs, is required.
--- Experience developing eLearning material is advantageous
Please note that final candidates may be expected to provide examples of their work, and potentially teach a brief training session.
Technical education (examples: electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science) to degree level is an advantage but not mandatory.
