Job Description:
TITLE: HV Charging Subsystems Sr. Technical Specialist
DUTIES: Lead the design and development of next generation charging
technologies and products. Hold subject matter expertise of HV
Charging Subsystem conformance, interoperability and performance.
Act as technical advisor for cross-functional teams: design review,
issue resolution, new feature development, innovation, training and
coaching. Ensure compliance of industry charging standards for
intentional markets, including SAE, ISO, IEC, DIN specs and GB/T.
Hold subject Matter Expertise for HV charging core document as
design guideline for charging subsystem. Responsible for System HV
designs, including AC charging, DC Fast charging and
Vehicle-to-Gird, Vehicle-to-Load, Plug and Charge. Responsible for
System HV strategies: DFMEAs, DVP&R, risk assessments,
regulatory compliance. Conduct Vehicle HV Documentation, including
maintaining and updating HV charging core document per technology
road map and bench marking. Provide technical guidance on
innovation-to-production readiness, new standard study, new
function investigation, requirement development. Lead innovation
and bench marking activities for HV charging. Lead the system
development of HV charging testing automation. Lead the corporate
HV charging subsystem strategy as the global center of competency
for FCA to define Subsystem requirements and communize across the
corporation.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in
Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Systems Engineering,
Computer Engineering or a related engineering field, and 10 years
of experience in job offered or in a related position in product
engineering design and development. Experience must include:
Conducting software/hardware design and development cycles for HV
charging systems; Knowledge of Electric Vehicle Supplier Equipment
(EVSE), on-board charger, power electronics; Knowledge of
industrial charging standards, including AC: SAE J1772, IEC 61851,
GBT 18487; DC: DIN SPEC 70121, ISO 15118; Working with charging
conformance and interoperability; Authoring technical
documentation; Working with technical concepts of charging
technologies including Vehicle-to-Gird, Vehicle-to-Load, Plug and
Charge; and Knowledge of high voltage system, and laboratory and
test equipment.
