Job Description

The ADAS Test Engineer:

  • Executes validation and performance testing of ADAS systems at the vehicle level and against defined requirements at Bosch and External Proving Grounds.
  • Follows and works to integrate new test Requirements based on EU-NCAP, NHTSA, IIHS and other regulatory organizations.
  • Develops new or better testing methods and test cases for the teams across the various ADAS product groups in XC Driving Systems.
  • Supports public road acquisition drives to collect key performance indicators (KPI) and sensor blindness data
  • Supports operation, maintenance and updates to current equipment and investigates the need for upgrades. (Brands: ABD GST & Launchpad, Oxford IMU, 4a testing equipment)
  • Examples of functions under development are Collision Mitigation/Avoidance Systems (AEB) for Vehicle to Vehicle and Vulnerable Road Users (VRU). Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Cross Traffic Alert (CTA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW) as well as functions in Semi-Autonomous vehicle development.
    Qualifications

    Required Skills:
    • Bachelors of Science degree in engineering (preferably Automotive, Computer Science, -Electrical, Mechanical), or foreign equivalent.
    • 1+ years vehicle and/or component level test experience
    • Travel: min. 8 weeks/year incl. 4 weeks of extended trip to southern testing location
      Preferred Skills:
      • Knowledge of vehicle test methods, tools and procedures (DVP&R, NHTSA/EU-NCAP Procedures, ABD etc.).
      • Knowledge of vehicle electronics, including vehicle communication systems (CAN, Vector products).
      • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and test procedures, Electrical and Electronic diagrams.
      • Ability to program scripts in various Testing Equipment ( e.g. C-Code, Visual Basic, Vector scripting language)
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Work in a team environment, flexible and self motivated, team player.
      • Demonstrate automotive based electrical and mechanical ability.
      • Capability to take initiative to solve issues with little/no direction and with attention to detail
      • Able to develop and apply creative, robust approaches to solving new test requirements
      • Vehicle test maneuvers and performance analysis experience
      • Valid drivers license
