Job Description:

Software Program Manager - Warren, MI (Remote)Actalent is hiring Program/Project Managers to support software and systems engineering teams under the Unmanned Systems team. You will be working with cutting edge projects in a collaborative working environment. Must Haves:

• Prior Software Engineering Experience (C/C++, etc.)
• Defense, Unmanned Systems or Automotive Experience
• STEM Degree (Comp Sci, Comp Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, Etc.)Description:
  • Head projects internally working side by side with the government customer pertaining to a Protective Systems program
  • Issuing and managing subcontracts to various integrators depending on their specific expertise
  • Develop technical scope within subcontracts when it comes to engineering support
  • Work with the PM or Technical Lead within various integrators to come to an agreement on scope and technical feasibility
  • Interface directly with the government customer to identify areas of opportunity to develop a request to send out for bid
  • Manage timing and performance based on contractual obligations for stakeholders
  • Take ownership of tasks related to project scope
  • Interface with various vendors/prime and sub contractors to work through project timing and performance
  • Attend project meetings to discuss progress / status updates and goals moving forward
  • Take meeting minutes
  • Conduct trade off studies
  • Budget planningAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of Program/Project Management experience
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills (PowerPoint)
    • Understanding of Software Development lifecycle
