Job Description AUTOMATION METROLOGY PROGRAMMER JOB PURPOSE: Nikon
Metrology is seeking a highly motivated Automation Metrology
Programmer to develop, modify and support systems and part
measurement programming on automation and standalone products. WHY

RESPONSIBILITY:Design, create and maintain automated,
production-ready metrology inspection programs.Create and validate
software inspection programs for Metrology equipment
systems.Development of easy to use, clear and precise inspection
reports for many types of metrology equipment. Support
implementation of new automation equipment installations.Assist in
creation of metrology standard work, maintenance, and operational
and training documentation. Perform measurement system analysis
studies (GR&R) for metrology equipment.Maintain compliance with
program development, change management, and validation procedures
and best practices. ANCILLARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Must have a high
level of understanding of popular Metrology Analysis Software
packages, Robotics, as well as some hands-on engineering background
in advanced automation and technology with some project management
and communication skills.Utilize the combined skills of data
analysis, manufacturing process, developing, implementing and
supporting new automation technologies and practices. Develop
strong relationships with key strategic partners and customers
across all business units. Provide in-house support to customers
when quality issues arise.Ability to deal with multiple priorities
while working on simultaneous projects. Manage working with the
different teams in various departments simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL3+ years' of experience programming using
PolyWorks software.Polyworks programming experience.Geometric
dimensioning/tolerance knowledge.Strong background in GD&TCAD
experience, interpreting specifications, reading blueprints,
manufacturers' manuals, sketches or similar documents.Knowledge of
other metrolog acquisition and point cloud analysis software
packages.Experience with robotic programming software and hardware.
DESIRABLEBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or
Equivalent.Programming Languages - C/C++, Python, Java,
HTML.Automotive industry experience. Knowledge of stamping, welding
and product assembly processes. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:50% travel domestic and international.Occasional
weekend and evening work, as needed.Occasional lifting of up to 50
