Job Description:

Remora is hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter who will primarily recruit mechanical and electrical engineers and software Engineers and will work closely with internal stakeholders on recruiting initiatives as the company scales significantly in the next year. In this role, the Senior Technical Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting high-quality, diverse, purpose-driven new employees who will meet our current and future hiring needs and contribute to the defining challenge of our time under the direction of our Manager of Talent Acquisition.

We're a 75-person climate tech startup based in Detroit, MI. We build a device that captures a semi-truck's carbon emissions directly from the tailpipe. We sell the CO2 to end-users and split that revenue with our customers, so our device pays for itself in just a couple of years.

We're piloting our technology with some of the largest companies in the world, including three of the Fortune 10, and we've raised multiple rounds of funding from leading investors like Lowercarbon Capital, Union Square Ventures, and First Round Capital.


  • Develop strategies to recruit top talent for a variety of functions and subteams.
  • Recruit candidates through various channels, such as job boards, social media, and direct outreach.
  • Plan and coordinate the interview process with hiring managers
  • Review resumes and conduct preliminary screenings to identify qualified candidates
  • Provide candidates an overview of offers and extend them
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires by working closely with hiring managers and members of the people team
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers
  • Guidance and mentorship for less experienced recruiters

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and 4+ years of relevant work experience OR 6+ years of full cycle recruitment experience, particularly in corporate recruitment
    • At least one year of agency experience
    • At least one year of TA or HR experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Employment brand development experience via social media channels
    • DEI-focused recruitment experience
    • Proven track record of sourcing and hiring top talent for various roles
    • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruiting tools
    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
