Skidmore Studio leads brand and marketing engagements with emerging brands in the consumer packaged goods space. After the brand foundation is established, we bring these brands to life through marketing planning and execution, leading and advising our clients on the best ways to leverage their modest marketing budgets (typically under $500k annual spend). We're seeking an Account Lead to work with our team of strategists, copywriters, and designers to lead successful, growing client relationships at the studio.The right fit is a strong client advocate and strategic thinker who loves driving value for clients and collaborating with a world-class creative team. Details.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS* 10+ years of experience in client service and/or consumer marketing in an agency environment* Degree in marketing, advertising, communications or experiential equivalent* Previous experience and demonstrable success in growing client relationships in a client service or marketing strategist role (extra consideration will be given to candidates with industry experience in food & bev, alcohol, cannabis, or retail)* Previous experience and demonstrable success in omnichannel marketing (experience in direct-to-consumer brand/product launch and media buying preferred) and proven track record in getting results with marketing strategies and plansPrimary Responsibilities* Lead point of contact for client relationships* Build strong client relationships through establishing clear expectations, driving proactive planning and unsolicited recommendations, and ensuring high energy conversations and presentations* Effectively present, sell and defend studio work to clients* Grow existing client relationships in order to identify new opportunities for fun, profitable projects* Manage overall client profitability* Assist sales and marketing team with identifying and securing new qualified, positioned accounts.* Handle conflict resolution with clients and have the ability to tell clients "no" when it's the right thing to do* Properly set and manage your client's expectations* Work with producers to keep your projects moving forward and avoid client delays* Be a client advocate* Build marketing strategies for our clients in collaboration with Strategy Directors, using all necessary digital and traditional tools* Oversee the launch, management, and optimization of successful marketing campaigns* Research the products, services, and current strategies of our clients to identify branding, marketing, and business opportunities* Keep up to date with our clients' audiences and proactively suggest new campaigns, tactics, tools, and media channels to best engage them* Collaborate with Strategy and Design teams to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency* Participate in establishing the Studio's best practices for the marketing discipline* Stay on top of-and ahead of-new developments in digital technology and mediaYOUR ATTRIBUTES* Knowledge of or existing relationships with tactical marketing/media partners* Knowledge of emerging online marketing tools and best practices* Strong analytical chops Able to translate data into clear, actionable insights for Studio and its clients* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Strong client-facing presentation skills, able to clearly convey strategies and concepts* Comfortable with ambiguity, able to bring structure to nebulous problems* Curious and hungry for knowledge, desire to excel and have meaningful impact* Love collaborating with the Studio teammates to solve problems creatively* Able to capture and respond to feedback in ways that value others* Desire to remove "not possible" from your vocabulary; substitute with "how might we---"* Excited about growing emerging consumer brands by maximizing limited marketing budgetsSkidmore Studio is an equal opportunity employer.
