Description:Currently there are needs for at least 2 buyers on the Indirect purchasing team. Due to the merger over the last year, they are still organizing and growing the purchasing team, and getting all the support the need set up. There are 2 needs in the "services" group that are apart of the indirect purchasing team. The position will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with vendors that fall under the services category for all of their locations in North America. These two positions will mainly focus on U.S vendors. The different services that could be included under this role would include ; staffing services, Financial consulting services, Janitorial services, IT Services, security services, and a variety of other services. These contracts could be worth millions of dollars, so it is important this person has experience working with services, and negotiations with services companies. There will also be services included that will be specific to the automotive industry, such as quality containment services in the plants or facilities, or logistics type services. So any automotive experience is a plus due to the services involved specifically with that industry. Any type of experience working with an Eprocurement software, that tracks RFPs and the procurement process electronically is a plus. They also use 2 versions of SAP as their ERP system, so any SAP experience is also a major plus. Some other core functions:Ability to work as a procurement professional as part of a Commodity Team, representing the local level (Hub) activities with daily interface with internal clients for on-going and upcoming strategic Indirect Purchasing activities Coordination of pricing negotiations, aligned with the regional Commodity Specialist to obtain the most competitive commercial agreement for Marelli Daily use and application of company's purchasing applications, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, sourcing tool for supplier management and competitive bidding processes, etc.Presentation of supplier award recommendations to the Regional Sourcing CommitteeCompile and review system reports, working closely with the respective Commodity Team and/or internal client to ensure timely and proper execution of the Indirect Purchasing processTracking and update of company's eProcurement activity for related Indirect Purchasing commodity perimeter - working closely with Commodity Specialist, the corresponding suppliers and internal requestorsInterface with company supply-base, as required, via proper communication channels, including in-person meetings, conference calls, email,Skills:Procurement, Purchasing, Sap, Microsoft excel, Supply chain, Negotiation, services, indirect, facilities, IT, consulting, Cost savings, automotive, manufacturingTop Skills Details:1. They must have a Bachelor's degree ; preferred in Supply Chain or Finance, but major isnt a requirement.
