EEG Tech- Full Time (40 hours per week); Days (flexible start times); rotating weekends & rotations holidays- on call.

What You Will Do:

Perform electroneurodiagnostic testing.

  • Perform set up and preparation of equipment/supplies for ordered test.
  • Review patient's history, obtains any necessary information or documentation and provides education to patient about procedures. Monitor and document patient's condition at all times and reports any adverse reactions.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment to obtain diagnostic data, which may include EEG (Electroencephalography), EP (Evoked Potential), and PSG (Polysomnography) equipment. Recognizes and corrects for artifacts.
  • Score/graph, document and report results of diagnostic procedures.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained within 36 Months (3 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Technologist specializing in Neurophysiologic Intraop Monit credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained within 36 Months (3 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Technologist specializing in Evoked Potential credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained within 36 Months (3 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Tech specializing in Nerve Conduction Study obtained within 36 Months (3 years) of hire date or job transfer date.Any issuing authority accepted.

 

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Additional Preferences:
  • Experience with hooking up electrodes on patient, running test & reporting critical result to physicians preferred.
