Recruiter, DEI Specialist

We are looking for a Recruiter with a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) to assist in putting our mission into action, by building and executing sourcing strategies that identify and attract diverse candidates for roles across CE on a national scale. This role will be responsible for supporting, planning, developing, coordinating, and executing recruiting strategies related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, including sourcing and full-cycle recruiting, sharing knowledge and best practices with the wider team, and working alongside our I&D team to set longer-term inclusive and equitable strategies and programs.

What you'll do

Recruit and Hire

  • Identify and utilize multiple recruiting sources and appropriate targeted sourcing and research tools to identify top talent; including online searches, social media and other targeted tools
  • Source and develop passive candidates through networking, cold calling, complex internet searches, social media, research, etc.
  • Source and pre-screen resumes and present qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Develop, maintain, and cultivate diverse talent pools
  • Manage the hiring lifecycle, including communicating with and providing support to a diverse set of candidates and managers for a variety of roles
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation within the company's candidate database

Proactive Strategy Building

  • Evaluate existing hiring tools for bias, and identify alternative tools or enact changes that minimize bias
  • Continually keep abreast and drive the adoption of emerging best practices for DE&I
  • Assist in training for staff who participate in the hiring process
  • Partner with other internal DEI champions of programs, events, activities, and strategies aimed at growth for our people
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Recruiting team to hiring managers, and org leaders on expanding inclusive hiring practices into our recruiting operations
  • Network, partner and grow relationships with diverse professional organizations and industry influencers
  • Partner closely with Corporate Communication team on diversity recruitment marketing

  • You bring motivation, curiosity, creativity, humility and perseverance to our team
  • Candidates should have related recruiting or work experience ideally in advertising or marketing-related roles
  • Experience recruiting for and working with a wide range of diverse groups
  • Knowledge of core DE&I concepts and best practices in DE&I recruitment and hiring
  • Demonstrated record of advancing equity and inclusion within or outside the workplace (e.g., work experience, participation in DE&I organizations, volunteerism)
  • Ability to educate and partner with colleagues and leadership to advance DE&I goals within the organization
  • A growth mindset and work approach that aligns with our core values of building a culture of belonging with a commitment to learning, growth and anti-racism
  • Position will be fully remote to start and can ultimately be based in any one of our locations including Detroit, New York or Los Angeles. Some travel (when appropriate) may be required.
  • Understanding of the advertising/marketing space or a willingness to learn
  • You love to get things done and have a track record of success in past sourcing roles
  • You thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment where navigating ambiguity is second nature
  • Outstanding client service skills, including shown success interacting with both internal and external clients
  • Willing to assist wherever there is a need
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
