Hope Network Behavioral Health Services (BHS) provides a full
range of services for persons with severe and persistent mental
illness and/or individuals with emotional well-being needs to
achieve a maximum level of independence, community integration, and
satisfaction with life. Our continuum of care stretches across the
state assisting persons with intensive and varying acuity needs.
Whether someone needs 24 hour therapeutic supports, personal care,
community living support, benefit and service brokering, brief or
short-term counseling, or any of our many community services, our

The Registered Nurse is a key associate at Hope Network whose
primary responsibilities include: At the direction of the Program
Manager the Registered Nurse position coordinates and provides
direct client care for adults with serious mental illness, or
children/adolescents with emotional disturbances. Utilizing a
Recovery Based process that consist of change through which
individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed
life, and strive to reach their full potential. The Registered
Nurse works with psychiatrists to ensure good outcomes for persons
served, including collaborating with internal and external
providers to coordinate psychiatric treatment with medical
treatment. The position manages pharmaceutical and medical supplies
and oversees medication monitoring and administration under a
psychiatrist or nurse practitioner.

Provide on-call nursing services and be able to respond in
emergency situations, 24/7 as assigned in the ACT, MSCT (STAB)

Oversee consumer individualized recovery process relating to
their health through support in managing their disease through

served, within designated timeframes.
Provide and/or assist in providing appropriate medical, nursing,
or other health care in the home and/or in a persons served setting
Participate in the assessment of the physical, functional, and
psychological needs of persons served, as required.
Participate in the development of Treatment Plans by assisting
persons served in setting goals linked to addressing identified
medical and psychiatric needs, as required.
Provide referral to appropriate community resources, facilitate
access and communication when multiple services are involved;
monitor activities to ensure that services are actually being
delivered and meet the needs of the persons served; coordinate
services to avoid duplication.
Maintain accurate records and confidentiality pertaining to

Educational / Talent Requirements:
Registered Nurse or Bachelor Science in Nursing
State of Michigan RN Licensure
Preferred four or more years of psychiatric nursing
Ability to demonstrate good moral character and even temperament
necessary to gain and maintain credibility and trust of persons
served and co-workers.

formats to meet position requirements.
Work Experience Requirements:
Understands the concept of Motivational Interviewing
Familiar with Integrated Care and Duel Diagnosis Treatment
Knowledge about Stages of Change, Trauma Informed Care, Seeking
Safety, Family Psycho Education
Ability to schedule/plan work in advance and set effective and
realistic timelines to meet goals.
Knowledge of or ability to learn, the use of technological
advances that include, but is not limited to: Microsoft Office
Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, fax/copy machines, cell
Maintain a valid motor vehicle operator license with driving
records acceptable according to Hope Network policy.
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours including
occasional nights, holidays or weekends to ensure highest level of
care for persons served.
