We Are Hiring:

Unit Description:  This is a 22 bed unit with cardiac monitoring capabilities. We specialize in CVA’s, TIA’s, ischemic stroke with intravenous alteplase, crainiotomies related to stroke, and neuroendovascular interventions including to but not limited to carotid stent placement, cerebral stent placement, and non-ruptured aneurysm repair. Nurses will have the opportunity to participate in a 9 month graduate nurse residency program. All RN’s/GN’s will be NIHSS certified and will receive ACLS certification within the first 12 months of hire. 

 

Scheduled Hours: FT Nights- This associate will work three 12 hour shifts per week from 7:00PM through 7:30AM.  This will include rotating weekends and holidays. 

What You Will Do:

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Preferences:

Certified candidates, those with prior applicable experience, or current nursing or neuroscience students are preferred.
