We Are Hiring:
Unit Description: A
25 bed inpatient rehab unit specializing in improving the
functional abilities of patients recovering from stroke, brain and
spinal cord injuries, tumors, multiple sclerosis, hip fractures,
amputations, burns, cancer, cardiac and pulmonary disorders, and
general medical and surgical debility. This unit will focus
on the patients’ physical recovery and rehabilitation needs and
provide a seamless continuum of care in one location. The
IPRC uses state of the art gait training and neuro-rehabilitation
technology to provide comprehensive inpatient care for physical and
occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, psychology,
rehabilitation nursing and social work. Team members on this unit
will assist patients with activities of daily living, cognitive &
language skills, and other daily functional tasks, as well as
actively managing their medical needs.
Scheduled Hours: FT
Days- This associate will work three 12 hour
shifts per week from 7:00AM through 7:30PM. This will include
rotating weekends and holidays.
What You Will Do:
Perform basic clinical and non-clinical
patient care activities under supervision.
What You Will Need:
- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional
conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical
Licensure / Certification /
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association
(AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be
accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from
- Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry
preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Certified candidates, those with prior
CNA/PCT experience, current nursing students, or current
kinesiology/PT students are preferred.
