Job Description:

We Are Hiring:

This is a full time position for a supervisor role over our Inpatient/Outpatient Float Pool associates.

The days of this position are typically  M-F with varying hours from 7am to 7pm

What You Will Do:

Supervise assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in phlebotomy services.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings or committees addressing issues and implementation of new services.
  • Ensure staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Perform functions for the phlebotomy department: to include but not be limited to; hiring, evaluations and first level disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
  • Laboratory Tech credentialed from the American Board of Bioanalysis (AAB) preferred.
  • Laboratory Tech credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
  • Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
  • Medical Tech credentialed from the American Board of Bioanalysis (AAB) preferred.
  • Medical Tech credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) preferred.
  • Phlebotomy Tech preferred.
  • Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians preferred.

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory scientist, human sciences; or completed a military 50-60 week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements; or education qualifications as stated per CLIA requirements.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years of experience required.
Additional Preferences:

Availability outside of these hours and days may be required periodically.

Associate’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory scientist, human sciences; or completed
a military 50-60 week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements; or education
qualifications as stated per CLIA requirements.

Bachelor's degree preferred

Minimum of 2 years of leadership skills

Must have reliable transportation
