As we continue to grow, we are looking to add skilled talent to our team!Who We WantMiller Industries is seeking a Human Resource Assistant who will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.What You Will Be Doing Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.Provides clerical support to the HR department.Act as backup for the Front Desk Attendant when needed.Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and onboarding.Assist in the writing of job descriptions or review and edits job descriptions written by others.Support recruitment with posting positions, screening applicants and scheduling interviews.May assist with payroll functions including time sheet processing, answering employee questions, and correcting entries in the time management system.Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include temporary staffing agencies, health, disability, and retirement plan providers.Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.Performs other duties as assigned.What You Get PaidThe position pays a competitive hourly wage along with a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD, STD, a 401k with immediate match, 10 paid holidays, PTO and profit-sharing bonus eligibility.What Requirements Are NeededAssociate degree in Human Resource Management and 1 year of relative work experience or 2+ years' experience working in human resources. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
