Role Summary Provides tooling support to the maintenance
department. Able to work at various locations within and outside
the plant. - Can operate a variety of tools and machines within the
The Assembly Toolmaker is responsible to ensure that the Customer,
People, and Investor goals are balanced and met.
Key Responsibilities Services, maintains, and tests new or changed
Able to operate a variety of machine tools (i.e. TIG/MIG/Stick
Welders, lathes, milling machines, drill press, etc.)
Verify conformance of machines or repaired dies to specifications
by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments.
Troubleshoot for problems during production.
Able to set up appropriate tools in the department.
Always follow safe work practices and company work procedures.
Assure work performed complies with QS9000 standards.
Maintain tooling Quality STD's and Preventative/ Predictive
Maintenance program to ensure compliance with QS9000
Able to work overtime as required.
Perform other duties as required.

from two years college or technical school or 5 years related
experience or training or equivalent combination of education and
experience. - Completion of a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship
Tool and Die Maker with related experience/familiar with assembly
Good hand dexterity, mechanical skills, mathematical skills and
Must have a minimum of 7-years experience with assembly tooling
with minimum 5 years of specializing with new assembly tool
construction and robot tooling.
Clinch tool experience is a preferred.
Metrology experience is required including ability to set-up
