IMMEDIATE POSITIONS AVAILABLE
JOB DESCRIPTIONService Workers perform routine, manual, custodial
work in the upkeep of the Juvenile Detention Facility. Specific
custodial activities in a prescribed area are assigned to the
employees by a supervisor who checks the work in process and upon
completion. Duties include sweeping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing
floors; cleaning rest room facilities; scrubbing walls and marble
cornices, slabs and trimmings; and cleaning drinking fountains.
Work is generally performed under the supervision of a Service
Worker Supervisor.
NOTE: Applicants must be available to work all shifts and mandatory
overtime, as needed.
ELIGIBLE PERSONS:At time of application, eligible persons must
have:A high school diploma; ANDAs a condition of employment,
appointees must:Obtain and submit with application, Family
Independence Agency Central Registry Clearance, and annually
thereafter;Be willing to accept appointment to any one of the three
shifts in any five-day work week schedule, Monday through Sunday,
including holidays;Agree to a criminal history check and subject to
periodic criminal checks;Provide three (3) Educational or
Professional letters of recommendation. Letters must be from
persons unrelated to appointee and be less than 12 months old.
