This vision is approached by developing and offering *innovative driver assistance systems, components, and functions *in close cooperation with our customers nearly all OEMs worldwide.The portfolio entails radar, video and ultrasonic sensors, central driver assistance ECUs (DASy), driver assistance functions and system solutions for highly automated driving and parking, future driver assistance functions based on data of multiple sensor sources, and driver assistance systems for commercial vehicles.*WHY BOSCH? * Job Description Work within the Parking Systems Application Engineering area. Directly in the Calibration and Simulation team, focusing on Object Classification components of an Ultrasonic Sensor System. This position is eligible for hybrid work (part remote and part in person). Tasks including:*Calibration Task** Support parameter selection for software features within the object classification components.* Analysis of system signals for reported defects by customer or internal defects found during vehicle validation tests.* Analyze and understand ultrasonic sensor echo attributes and filtering in both graphical and analytical data tooling. Key tools for analysis include Vector CANape, CANoe, Excel and custom tools for viewing Advance Drivers Assistance System (ADAS) object data.* Comprehend object classification algorithms to allow tuning of performance-based parameters for optimal system performance.* Perform root cause analysis on performance issues to identify failing algorithm or calibration parameters.* Understand the relationships between multiple calibration parameters and the possible influence of changes to other parts of the system.* Develop test plans so in-vehicle teams can verify object classification and localization testing to ensure the system functions to customer requirements* Create technical presentations of system limitations and failure root cause analysis.* Present results and data analysis to the customer.* Assist in release note documentation.* Ticketing and failure tracking in JIRA/Track and Release* Maintain a good information exchange with System/Software-Team* Ensure on-time delivery of calibration updates by properly estimating and tracking task duration.*Simulation Tasks** Perform simulations using Automotive Data and Time Triggered Framework (ADTF) Development Environment* Utilize predefined Jenkins network jobs to process vehicle recorded data into desired data formats for analysis and facilitate simulation of traces.* Build and manage code simulation projects within Visual Studio environment for use of calibration change analysis via trace simulation.* Contribute to improvements and development of tools and processes utilizing Python and C/C++* Assist in creation of tool user guides and process documentation*Requirement Tasks** Understand and apply customer performance requirements for object detection & filtering of parking scenario objects* Support any requirements discussions and workshops * Participate in reviews for requirements*Candidate Key Interests ** Advance Drivers Assistance System (ADAS)* Python Code Development* Machine Learning and Big Data* Interest in Process and Tooling Improvements* Data Analytics via Software Solutions* Calibration Management*Key Employee Attributes** Critical thinking skills and comprehension of multi-variable problems* Manage internal contacts among a large global team* Time management and effort estimation* Team player and ability to collaborate using a ticket system* Organized in data storage and work package documentation* Technical communication skills and ability to effectively communicate directly with the customer Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline or foreign equivalent degree *Preferred Qualifications:** 1+ years of experience in software systems engineering, calibration of an embedded controls system, or data simulation and analytics.* 1+ years of experience with the calibration tools used for embedded software/embedded controls systems.* Python Experience-Minimum Debugging prefer Development* Working experience using the below SW tools* Vector CANape for embedded system calibration* Excel both basic and macro work* Visual Studio* GIT* ADTF Dev Environment* Ability to read and understand C Code* Ticketing and failure tracking JIRA/Track and Release Additional Information *Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. *By choice, we are committed to a diverse workforce - EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled.BOSCH is a proud supporter of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)Initiatives* FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)* AWIM (A World In Motion) Associated topics: capitol, coordinator, entertainer, farm, field, leader, park, recreation, recreation attendant, zipline
