steering suppliers, Robert Bosch Automotive Steering LLC is growing
in the market and must continue to innovate and develop new
products to meet customer needs. Our engineering, technical
purchasing, and sales teams are located in our Plymouth, MI office
fully supporting regional customers and providing local support for
global projects. Job Description Engineer responsible for electric
power steering (EPS) development and release activities. Focus is
the integration of EPS steering into the vehicle. Hands-on in
vehicle work and direct interface with OEM customers are daily
activities. Key responsibilities include:- Reviewing and approval
of system level requirements- Creating test specifications and
procedures- In-vehicle EPS software and system measurements,
validation, and release testing- Leading and participating in
steering tuning activities for current and future OEM electric
power steering programs- Identifying software, hardware, and system
level issues and providing an interface between the Bosch
Automotive Steering development and OEM teams to resolve issues-
Vehicle-level technical OEM support for multiple electric power
steering system projects- Installing measurement and testing
equipment in vehicles, completing required vehicle measurements,
interpreting the results, and provide appropriate feedback-
Providing feedback on status of testing, releases, and vehicle
evaluations through formal and informal reports internally and to
the customer- Responsibility for multiple customer projects and
insuring progress- Assists in Bosch acquisition projects in
coordination with the pertinent sales/program management teams
(i.e. demonstration vehicle preparation)- Works with development
teams to identify growth opportunities and to establish and
maintain strategic contacts with the OEMsPosition will be very
heavily computer oriented. Candidate must have strong computer
skills.Role requires driving a vehicle and pushing the vehicle to
it's limits. Must be comfortable developing these skills and
performing this task.Job activities may include work at Plymouth
office, home office and regular activity at OEM customer
facilities. Domestic and international travel Qualifications
Requirements:- Bachelor Degree in Engineering field- 2 + years'
experience in automotive vehicle development or understanding of
software development working with stability control, brake control
or steering system control.- Possess a Valid Driver s
LicensePreferred:- Previous drivers training and/or certification
is beneficial- Experience with CaNalyzer, CANape, and/or ETAS INCA
beneficial- Must be capable of learning other software packages
(SAP, Axalant, ClearCase/ClearQuest, DOORS etc.- Candidates should
possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work
both independently and in a team environment- Vehicle dynamics,
testing, and instrumentation experience desired Additional
