sector.With its division Automotive Steering, which has currently
over 1,300 associates in USA and 14,000 worldwide, Bosch is
developing steering solutions for the future of mobility to make
driving safer and more comfortable.Therefore, Bosch is working with
its global engineering team on new steering solutions, on component
and system level, including features on a vehicle level in the
field of automated and autonomous driving. Coupled with this is the
need for new steering concepts that need to be developed from a
prototype basis up to series application, depending on the stage of
the project. Our products fulfill a wide spread of demands and can
be found from small passenger cars up to sports cars like Corvette,
Cadillac V-Series, Porsche 911, BMW M4 just to name a few.For our
advanced development activities, we are looking for excellent
candidates with expertise in delivering strategic initiatives
across internal and external sources and are eager to develop these
new steering concepts correctly from the start through
implementation and properly align with business needs. Job
Description * The System Engineer acts as a system architect and
technical counterpart to the Program Manager and is responsible for
making sure the technical team understands and fulfills customer &
internal requirements for steering applications ranging from EPS,
Steer by Wire up to future solutions.* Plan and coordinate advanced
development projects from the first idea until first prototypes*
Lead a cross functional team and development new steering solutions
for traditional steering applications to more complex system
functions on vehicle level for e.g., autonomous driving use cases*
Support evaluation of specifications across Software, Hardware and
System, Functional Safety and Security engineering and consult the
experts from the respective domains.* Establish, cultivate and
maintain a positive customer relationship as technical first point
of contact and engineering lead for customer projects as well as
Bosch internal projects.* Review and approve System FMEAs, Safety
Failure Tree Analysis (FTAs) and Software Design Failure Analysis
(DFAs)* Responsible for creation and release of TCD (Technical
Customer Documentation)* Support safety analysis and concept
development* Troubleshoot bench testing and/or vehicle issues which
can occur during development.* Up to 15% domestic & international
travel to customer sites, Bosch sites, and supplier sites is
required* Comply with all Bosch processes within IATF-16949
standards Qualifications *Required:** BS in mechatronics, computer
science, electrical engineering, technical computer science,
automotive engineering (or equivalent)* 3+ years experience of
requirements engineering / management* 3+ years experience in
automotive product development* Ability to structure, moderate and
promote collaboration within an international and cross functional
team* Good written / verbal communication and presentation
skills*Preferred:** Experience in steering systems or vehicle
dynamics* Experience in program management* Experience in Agile
methods like SAFe or Scrum* Knowledge of ISO26262 and SOTIF
