The production facility in Florence, KY manufactures and administers products for the NAFTA region. Job Description This position includes technical project management responsibilities of electric power steering (EPS) system. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in to the exciting mechatronic world of EPS. You will work directly with a comprehensive development team including mechanical design engineers, software developers, application / calibration engineers and fellow project managers to develop project specific solutions for driver assistance and/or automated driving technologies.Primary Duties and Accountabilities: The System Project Lead (SysPL) acts as the system architect and technical counterpart to the Program Manager and is responsible for making sure the technical team understands and fulfills the customer s electric power steering (EPS) requirements on time. Responsible for evaluating customer specifications across Software, Hardware and System, Functional Safety and Security engineering and consult the experts from the respective domains. Strong connect to help resolve any queries / issues raised by the customer. Potential support as first level trouble shooting and coaching OEM on EPS architecture Establish, cultivate and maintain a positive customer relationship as technical first point of contact and engineering lead for customer project(s). Ensure system development, validation, and delivery are according to guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE, IATF 16949). Budget planning and reporting for project engineering, development and testing costs. Review and approve System FMEAs, Safety Failure Tree Analysis (FTAs) and Software Design Failure Analysis (DFAs) Assist in the creation of technical safety concept Responsible for creation and release of TCD (Technical Customer Documentation) Qualifications * Bachelor of Mechanical, Electrical, Software in Engineering or related technical field* 3+ years of experience in automotive product developmentPreferred Qualifications* Masters of Science in Mechatronics, Automotive Systems Engineering or related technical field* Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion with strong analytical skills that supports a systematic approach to problem resolution and strong communication skills to discuss issues/challenges with global development teams and external customers.* Experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in automotive or related industry.* Experience in systems / requirements engineering.* Ability to structure, moderate and promote collaboration with international teams, negotiate with customer, support global organization, and understanding with working in global multicultural projects.* Thorough and hands on understanding in the product development life-cycle* Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customer.* Experience with a safety critical product preferred (ISO 26262)* Expected travel 15% Additional Information By choice, we are committed to a diverse workforce - EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled.BOSCH is a proud supporter of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Initiatives* FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)* AWIM (A World In Motion)
