These facilities house more than 1,700 associates who are dedicated to improving relationships with our customers and furthering Bosch's technologiesWithin Chassis Controls Active Safety Engineering for Asian Customers department we are responsible for the development, calibration and testing of the Electronic Stability Control device (ABS/TCS/ESP/ESC/ACC/ADAS) and the Electronic Brake Booster (Vacuum free brake boost and ADAS) which both manage vehicle movement and motion during safety critical situations as well as highly automated driving. We work side by side with Function and Performance Developers within the USA and globally across many Bosch/Customer locations. We are in regular contact with our customers and actively work with them in their prototype vehicles to develop, refine, and validate their systems and requirements at test facilities around the world.In the end, our department delivers the calibration, software, and technical project leadership to achieve our customer targets. Job Description Robert Bosch LLC is looking for a Senior Software Engineer at our Plymouth, MI location. This position includes development responsibilities for active safety systems including brake modulators, electronic brake boosters, and future braking system configurations. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in. You will work directly with an entire development team including project leaders, fellow function and software developers, and application/calibration engineers to develop project-specific solutions with strong customer input.Below is a highlight of the things you would be working on: Software development for active safety products with focus on brake systems. Perform requirements engineering with customer and internal teams. Design and implement solutions based on requirements. Test to verify solution and validate component and system level requirements. Highlights continued on following page Work according to industry guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE).o ISO 26262 is intended to be applied to safety-related systems that include one or more electrical and/or electronic (E/E) systems and that are installed in series production passenger cars with a maximum gross vehicle mass up to 3 500 kg.o The Automotive SPICE process assessment model (PAM) is intended for use when performing conformant assessments of the process capability on the development of embedded automotive systems. SPICE = Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination Support in-vehicle and offline (laboratory) software testing based on established methodologies. Flexible, willing to flex working hours to allow daily international collaboration while achieving a good work/life balance. Conduct and take part in customer and internal meetings. Qualifications *Basic Qualifications** Bachelor's Degree in Engineering* 3 or more years of experience in software engineering* 4 or more years of experience in automotive, motorsport or heavy equipment industry* 1 or more years of vehicle networking, diagnostics and debugging complex systems and/or hands-on (mechanical or electrical) experience*Preferred Qualifications** A Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering* Experience in electronic stability control (ABS/TCS/ESC), brake system/booster, complex software, system architecture projects* Brake system engineering and chassis control technology experience* Capable to code and understand Java, C or Matlab and communicate software changes* Understanding of and experience with AUTOSAR development* Experience with requirements engineering as well as laboratory environment, vehicle, and system test and release procedures in automotive or related industry* Good written/verbal communication and presentation skills to discuss issues/solutions with team and customer* Experience with technical teams in Germany, India, and Japan* Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion with good analytical skills that support a systematic approach to problem resolution* Valid driver s license* Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, innovative thinking Additional Information All your in Information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.*By choice, we are committed to a diverse workforce - EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled. *BOSCH is a proud supporter of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Initiatives* FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)* AWIM (A World In Motion) *Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
