Job Description:

*SUMMARY: *

The Deli Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Deli operations based on the needs of the company. They will provide assistance wherever needed on all stations in the Deli during each shift and provide leadership and guidance to the Deli staff in accordance with food safety laws and Founder's standards.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

- Oversee all Deli positions simultaneously.

- Have a thorough knowledge of safe food handling practices, as indicated by ServSafe training.

- Have a working knowledge of the Aloha POS system, including setting up and shutting down the terminal.

- Handle insubordination amongst Deli employees, and diffuse each situation through communication and documentation with Deli management and HR.

- Understand the ordering process of goods through purveyors of foods and other goods.

- Inform the Deli Manager/Assistant Deli Manager of any and all needs of the Deli operation.

- After every shift, write up what happened during the shift in the deli log and send out to needed management groups.

- Customer Service: Make eye contact and greet guests enthusiastically.

- Treat customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect.

- Maintain a safe work environment according to federal and state regulations.

- Maintain a working knowledge of deli recipes and prepared foods.

- Miscellaneous cleaning and stocking.

- Positively respond to direction and requests for assistance from co-workers, supervisors, managers, and guests.

- Take initiative to help any area of the Deli if possible.

- Have a complete understanding of all Deli stations/positions and be able to complete all tasks as outlined in the Deli Clerk job description.

- Schedule and hours vary each week based on key dates and special functions and will require daytime, nighttime, and weekend work. Availability for special functions is required.

- Other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
