The Bartender is an integral part of the team at Mad Nice. They are responsible for executing set standards of service and making sure our guests have the best possible experience at the bar. The beverage program at Mad Nice features classically driven cocktails inspired by the California coast, Italian Soul with a Detroit sauce. Our menu will be ever evolving with the seasons and focused on using fresh ingredients and local produce. Along with a full bar offering we will have a modern Italian menu featuring wood fired pizzas, naturally leavened breads and handmade pastas. Our Bartenders: Have a willingness to learn and teach A desire to grow their knowledge and craft A strong passion for hosting and cultivating an incredible guest experience Consistently care about the smallest details Are energeticteam players Adhere to recipes and standards In addition to the above, we look for people that possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the role. However, we are always willing to train anyone with the right attitude and desire to grow, as you can't teach hospitality. 1+ years of bartending experience, preferably in a high volume or fine-dining setting. Ability to prepare and serve beverages to guests according to recipes and knowledge of standard cocktails. Stock/restock appropriate areas of the bar with alcohol, glassware, ice and supplies. Understands the importance of measuring and consistency. Effectively service a full bar top, service rail or assigned station per shift. A general understanding of Food, Liquor, Wine and Beer - with a passion to continue a higher level of understanding on all of these subjects. Ability to follow and execute steps of service. Understanding that we are curators of experiences, not order takers. A drive to be organized. Ability to maintain menu knowledge - including allergies, restrictions, modifications etc. An understanding of anticipatory service. Capable to understand and solve problems with a calm and collective demeanor Understand the importance of community outreach and contributing to the neighborhood Interesed in learning more?
