About the Role:
The System Architect is responsible for the following key functions as part of the development of the System Architecture of a Ground Combat Vehicle.

  • 9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.)

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:
    • This role will with be responsible for what computing resources will be needed.
    • Will design the video architecture for the vehicle.
    • Designs the network architecture used for the vehicle.
    • Designs the time synchronization strategy to be used.
    • Will work with team on evaluating the needs for the power architecture to be used.
    • Defines the key component interfaces (CI) and maintains the data source.
    • Designs for redundancy and failover.
    • Provides Cross functional support to other Integrated Product Teams and departments.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
      Position Requirements:
      Qualifications Sought:
      • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, Electrical Engineering desired.
      • 7 years related engineering experience sought but will consider fewer years with advanced degree.
      • Experience with developing system requirements, system specifications, requirement traceability, requirements compliance preferred.
      • Strong skills in the development of a System Architecture that is compliant to the System Requirements and System Design Definition.
      • Capital Enterprise Experience (or similar software tool) required.
      • Ability to develop a system model and system architecture using SysML preferred.
        Additional Information / Desired Experience
        • This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
        • This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
        • Work experience in the Defense Industry, and working with the US government as a customer.
        • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills is required Works well in team and individually
        • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required
        • Able to work in office, shop, test lab, and test site environments, and in vehicles.
