BELFOR team members are a unique breed, committed to restoring not only property, but restoring lives for those affected by disasters, large or small.BELFOR also offers a wide range of benefit options including, but not limited to, 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off.Position Overview The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the support of the day-to-day human resources operations of the corporate and BELFOR field operations.Responsibilities & DutiesSupport the onboarding process by providing support to local offices, administering pre-employment testing, solving employment issues, working within the ATS and HRIS systems, and processing onboarding paperwork.Monitors the E-Verify system, completes I-9 for new hires, researches employment issues, and maintains everify I-9 records.Work with HR Manager to make employment related decisions based on background and drug screening results for new hires and rehires.Assist in the exiting process by processing separation documents, sending and performing exit interviews, and responding to unemployment claims.Respond to employee inquiries, prepare employee communications, and co-manage the HR department email inboxesWorks with the HR Manager and HR Business Partners on employee relations issues and provides counsel to field offices. Helps plan and organize employee events and activitiesMaintains HRIS and other HR systems and compiles reports, respond to employee document, and file request.Responds to surveys, subpoenas, and other compliance documents/requestsComplete various other HR projects and support HR Manager and other HR team members as needed.
