Buyer - World Class Automotive Supplier

Salary $80,000 - $105,000 + Benefits & Paid Relocation Package to a Southern USA metro area where charming neighborhoods give the city a small-town feel, but you have all the amenities of the Big City and great shopping & eating! Tons of family events & great nightlife!

Growing state-of-the-art automotive manufacturing facility has an opportunity for an experienced Buyer. Get in on the ground floor and make a difference at this national company in a high-profile position that provides excellent advancement opportunities.

As the Buyer, you will manage the indirect purchasing needs of the plant. You'll need to have a working knowledge of Legal, Customs and/or Stock Brokerage concerning automotive parts.

As the Buyer, you'll manage all indirect purchasing activities, review contracts, handle price negotiations, vendor sourcing, and assist with the development of supply chain partnerships & purchasing strategies.

Other areas of responsibility are:

• Assisting with inventory management regarding levels & correct discrepancies
  
• Maintaining supplier databases and purchasing records
  
• Helping to improve purchasing systems and processes
  
• Working with Quality to ensure purchased items meet quality standards
  
• Performing root cause analysis in response to failures of products / services & take corrective action.
