Bring your energy to DTE.Together, we can achieve great things.Job SummaryLocation: Detroit, MIDTE Vantage, a subsidiary of DTE Energy, is seeking ambitious, energetic, quantitatively adept individuals with an interest in high visibility roles in finance and strategy for its Summer Associate Program.A strong candidate possesses a broad range of financial and commercial skills, can manage the details of complex transactions, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment in rapidly evolving markets.The ProgramThe Summer Associate Program provides first year MBA or similar advanced degree candidates the opportunity to experience working within multi-disciplinary teams formed to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and execute energy-related transactions and strategies.Key Accountabilities

  • Identifying and screening potential acquisitions
  • Conducting valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and integration for an acquisition
  • Developing and negotiating the pricing and structure for development projects
  • Evaluating investments in new renewable energy technologies
  • Developing a marketing plan to grow an existing business line
  • Researching and assessing industry competitorsMinimum Education & Experience RequirementsCurrently pursuing an MBA or other advanced degree in a related field, from a top-tier schoolRequired core skills include:
  • Strong focus on finance and strategy
  • Ability to understand, articulate and perform valuation analyses
  • Analytical ability to distill complex transactions into their essential elements and communicate the results to senior managementOther QualificationsPhysical Demands & Working ConditionsThe physical demands characterized here epitomize those that must be met by an employee to properly perform the integral functions of this job.
