Job Description:
SUMMARY:The Therapeutic Behavioral Service (TBS) Specialist,
under the administrative/clinical supervision of the Clinical
Supervisor, provides one-on-one support and behavioral
interventions to children and adolescents, their families, and/or
significant others as needed. Working closely with the client,
their family and the treatment team, the TBS Specialist helps
clients learn and apply positive coping strategies to reduce
behaviors that place them at risk of a higher level of care. The
TBS Specialist is expected to meet the programs productivity target
for billable services each week. Services take place in the home
and in the community. May require evening availability depending on
client needs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Provide Therapeutic Behavioral
Services for clients, their families, and/or significant others as
needed.Develop/review clients treatment plan.Recognize the
significance of the parent and/or caregiver in the clients life and
demonstrate the skills to engage the client, primary family, and
other supportive adults in the treatment planning process.Implement
individualized behavioral interventions as outlined in the
treatment plan.Provide in-home, school-based, or community-based
support to clients.Collaborate with clinicians, caregivers, school
staff, and other service providers.Teach clients coping skills,
communication skills, and problem-solving strategies.Monitor and
document client progress through detailed progress notes.Contribute
to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through
the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with
applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and
standards.Attend treatment team meetings and provide input on
client goals and progress.Support caregivers in understanding and
applying behavioral strategies.Ensure services are provided in
accordance with Medicaid, state and agency guidelines.Always
maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.Work a
flexible workweek which can include evenings and/or weekends.OTHER
DUTIES:Maintain awareness of industry trends and professional
knowledge by attending agency training, maintaining continuing
education standards and reviewing professional publications.Attend
scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training as
requiredMaintain trainings, certifications and licensure must be
kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and
accreditation regulations and standardsRespect the privacy of
clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the
clients treatment. All client-related documents should be handled
in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential
material.Maintain high standards of ethical and professional
conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.Other duties
as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelors
degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field
required; Masters degree preferred.Licensure:
N/ACompetencies/Skills:Strong organizational and time management
skills.Independent Judgment: Ability to perform job
responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent
judgment.Core Expertise: Possesses skill, knowledge and abilities
to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up

Demonstrate competence in utilizing Agency computer systems and
software as required to perform essential job functionsExperience:
Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families
required.Other: A valid drivers license, vehicle, and auto
insurance coverage. A driving record that meets the underwriting
