Job SummaryThe Manager of Development, Design, & Construction (DD&C) Applications manages and executes the application strategy for applications that support commercial and residential DD&C processes for Bedrock Detroit, including but not limited to Yardi Job Cost, Yardi Construction Manager, and Yardi ABF/Forecast Manager. The position is responsible for ensuring the support, business analysis/requirements, project management, strategy, product roadmaps, training and related vendor management for all applications supporting these processes. The position will work with analysts and support specialists within the team that support the processes and applications. The scope of the DD&C applications function will work closely with other application and process owners, such as Accounting/Finance, Sales Support (Leasing/Legal), Data and Analytics, Document Management, and Property Management, to ensure that all Company applications and projects are coordinated.
Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior Technology and business leaders to build and maintain a strategy for DD&C applications in purview, infrastructure architecture, and business intelligence/reporting tools to be leveraged throughout the Company
  • Prioritize effectively and manage roadmap to ensure alignment with financial and business needs and goals
  • Lead and manage all aspects of end-to-end implementations - stakeholder communication, timeline planning, functional/technical requirements, solution design/architecture/build, testing and delivery -
  • Provide day to day direction to the financial applications support team and helpdesk
  • Provide guidance to the applications support resources and helpdesk
  • Review and determine tools for development and management of the DD&C business
  • Work with Business and other IT areas to develop Analytics roadmap, plans, budgets, and priorities for the projects being done
  • Oversee data warehouse and integration operations
  • Collaborate with others in the project lifecycle using standard tools for creating and tracking requirements, managing projects, development and working with business and outside users
  • Build and foster strong partnerships and collaborate with many cross functional teams for roadmaps, prioritization, product delivery, alignment, and cross business process initiatives
  • Maintain effective relationships with application vendors and ensure the attainment of relevant IT Service Level Agreements and organizational objectives
  • Innovate and optimize how the business interacts with software to improve business performance and outcomes
  • Performs gap analyses and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement with how our software enables business processes
  • Responsible for the effective change management, communication and coordination of application releases, updates & upgrades
  • Operate as a key IT stakeholder and/or subject matter expert in new software implementations or system migrations
  • Other duties as assigned
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, a related field or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the commercial real-estate industry, with familiarity across a vertically integrated development, construction, and property management processes
    • Minimum of 5 years in Information Systems or a related field with significant work in development, design, construction and project proforma revenue/cost budgeting/forecasting real estate applications support systems, such as Yardi Job Cost/Construction Manager, JDE E1 Job Cost, ProCore (formerly Honest Buildings). -
    • Experience leading technical teams in the architecture, development and integration planning and execution
    • Experience working with business partners gathering business requirements to create technical specifications, plans and business cases for projects
