Job DescriptionThe Transtar Facility is a coatings manufacturing company in the automotive refinish business headquartered in Brighton, Michigan. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Order picking for customer orders. Packaging and palletizing of orders per classifications. Operation of powered pallet jacks, forklifts, and stretch wrapping machines. Keep assigned area clean and organized. Must report any hazards and/or incidents/accidents. Comply with all applicable safety requirements. Prepare small package shipments for UPS shipping and use of UPS software. Perform Cycle counts as necessary and maintain accurate inventory counts. Organization of stock. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. COMPUTER SKILLSBasic understanding of computers. Will train on forklift operation, if needed, and then issue forklift license.
