Job Summary:
The Junior Electrical Engineer will apply knowledge of engineering principles to assist in the design and development of electrical and electronic projects in various industries such as automotive, aerospace, military, and industrial equipment. - The role will develop wiring architecture, wire harness routing, power distribution, and electrical system needs and requirements. - The Junior Electrical Engineer will also develop and execute electrical system functional and validation test requirements. -This position will be -located in -Allen Park, MI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop wiring architecture, wire harness routing, power distribution, and electrical system needs and requirements

  • Develop detailed electrical system schematics, perform analytical circuit functionality, and make any system modifications to meet project specifications

  • Integrate wire harnesses, connectors, sensors, switches, and electrical components into overall vehicle architecture including high and low voltage systems

  • Develop and execute electrical system functional and validation test requirements

  • Identify and mitigate major electrical system failure modes and effects

  • Support overall electrical systems development and build support

  • Participate in programs, team meetings and training

    Education and Experience (required):

    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

      Education and Experience (preferred):

      • Experience in a related internship or co-op

      • Formula SAE experience or equivalent senior project

        Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):

        • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills

        • Knowledge of control system components and software including sensors, transducers, and actuators

        • Knowledge of wire harness design tools and general laboratory test equipment and procedures

        • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others to deliver quality products

          Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred):

          • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and familiarity with electronic module design and electrical distribution design
