Overview:The primary function of the HVAC / Refrigeration
Installation Technician is to install HVAC-R equipment in addition
to routine preventative maintenance at company owned and external
customer sites. - This position is non-exempt and reports to the
department manager. Essential Job Functions:
Adequate knowledge of installation
procedures relating to ductwork, low-voltage controls, and
equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints/wiring
schematicsGood communitive skills and coordination with authority,
other contractors and clientsCompose RFI's, As Built and Change
Order documentation if/when neededCommercial and/or residential
ductwork and equipment - - - Apply local HVAC codes in a practical
manner on each work taskKnowledge of routine carpentry, electrical
and plumbingAbility to Install Hydronic heating systems, walk-in
cooler/freezer equipment and boxesKnowledge of pool
dehumidification systems and ability to installInstallation of High
Velocity HVAC Split systems, exhaust ventilation and packaged units
Enforce and apply pertaining work is being done in compliance with
company protocolRead and interpret safety/employment manuals and
other work-related documentsWork extended hours when required for
scheduling and/or job completionWork in varying weather
conditionsFollow written and verbal instructionsFollow company
quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee
handbook policiesGood interpersonal and leadership skillsAble to
handle high stress situations and make quick decisions if
neededRegular and reliable attendanceAble to lift 80 pounds of
necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds. - Able to
climb a ladderHandle exposure to dust, fumes, heights and high
noise levelsOperate in a constant state of alertness and safe
manner with consideration to others Perform duties as assigned to
fulfilment and complete work relating data on company WO
softwareWilling to attend classes relating to HVAC-R for
certifications -Qualifications/Experience/Education:
Valid driver's license with a clean
driving record EPA certification requiredOther HVAC certifications
preferred -Minimum of 3 years field experience installing HVAC-R
for residential or commercial preferredPossession of typical HVAC-R
hand tools and drills required for installing Able to pass
pre-employment drug screen and 7-year background
