Description:Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this individual will be responsible for the business's transportation and logistics operations. This person will be the conduit between Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Systems, Sales, Customers and Vendors.Monday-Friday - 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.Requirements:Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and schedule all shipping activities.Provide assistance in warehouse space utilization for OB Load Staging Develop delivery schedules and drop shipment strategiesMaintain accurate records and files Meet with Transportation Manager to identify and resolve problemsPrepare and present daily shipping plan and other correspondence as appropriate and necessaryWorks cross functionally with various departments to maximize daily OB Shipments.Effectively communicates and escalates business challenges to supervisorReviews and monitors inbound and outbound transportation requirements.Coordinate between planning, production and shipping to ensure transportation schedule alignment Participates and assists with physical inventories Work on special projects as directed Responsible for carrying out company policy and initiativesRequirements1-3 years' experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing or a combination Experience in a warehouse, transportation and manufacturing environments Functional knowledge of global and domestic supply chain concepts Experience with MS Excel Knowledge - Skills - AbilitiesKnowledge of manufacturing scheduling/planningStrong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience working with ERP systemsAbility to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while performing with a high degree of accuracyInterpersonal skills to collaborate at various technical levels, with individuals in other business functions, and the potential to grow in a careerMust possess strong planning, organization, time management, prioritization, and decision-making skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in a chemical manufacturing plantOccasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 25 lbsOccasional overtime will be necessaryPI2dbb280211fc-25660-34830383
