Job Description:


The successful candidate will have demonstrated a track record of success with OEM and Tier 1 automotive customers in North America. Deep experience in the automotive industry, success in new business development and forming strategic partnerships. A strong sales leader with established relationships with C-suite executives within Automotive OEMs. The VP Automotive Sales will lead the sales team, formulate the strategy for the automotive market and execute. Establish and maintain key relationships with direct customers and partners in the value chain.

Functions Lead automotive sales team, provide sales process leadership to achieve revenue targets across existing customers and through new customers Establish both market and customer strategies for the automotive segment Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities in North America Drive sales by creating end-user demand for Company products through direct and strategic sales activities at OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers Present and demonstrate Company’s unique value proposition Negotiations with decision makers in the value chain to maximize revenue potential Coordinate with product centers for market development and product specification Complete responsibility for the full sales cycle, including cold-calling, lead follow-up, strategic sales, design-win, closing opportunities, getting purchase orders Participate in the definition and execution of the automotive sales strategy of Company Coordination with technical and logistics support Coordination with global Company automotive sales teams Profile US citizen or permanent resident Bachelor/Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, MBA At least 10 years of sales experience in cellular modems, GPS/GNSS and WiFi/Bluetooth technologies Several cycles of design win experience in the automotive sector Deep relationships in the automotive value chain and at the C-level Track record in building teams and providing sales process leadership Ability to plan and execute in the short term and long term Experience in business development and a track record in building a strong pipeline Prior management of direct sales teams with ability to set direction and accountability for performance Ability to operate at strategic and tactical levels A strong sense of urgency with the ability to focus resources to achieve results Existing automotive customer relationships, both on the OEM and Tier 1 level Travel predominantly across the Americas and Europe
