Job Description:
As a Safety Manager at MV Transportation, Inc., you will play a
pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of all our
transportation operations across North America. With a focus on
continuous improvement of our safety practices, you will be
instrumental in shaping a culture of safety compliance and
excellence. As part of a leading public transportation service
provider, you will work closely with operational teams to monitor,
evaluate, and enhance safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of
both our staff and the millions of passengers we serve annually.
Develop, implement, and lead safety programs and initiatives to
promote a safe working environment across all services. Conduct
regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to
identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local, state,
and federal regulations. Organize and oversee safety training
sessions for employees to enhance their safety awareness and ensure
proper handling of equipment and emergency situations. Investigate
accidents and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and
implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Maintain and update emergency response plans and procedures,
facilitating regular drill exercises. Collaborate with management
and external stakeholders to continuously review and enhance safety
policies and practices. Track and report safety performance metrics
to senior management, providing strategic recommendations based on
data analysis. Proven ability to develop and implement effective
safety programs Strong analytical skills to evaluate safety data
and trends Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in using safety audit tools and conducting risk
assessments Ability to train and motivate staff towards achieving
safety compliance Knowledge of relevant transportation safety
regulations and standards Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or
equivalent First Aid and CPR certified
